Bow of Artemis Slot Overview
Bow of Artemis is a casino slot from Pragmatic Play in which you accompany an Ancient Greek goddess to hunt for prey.Â
Many ancient gods and goddesses have been portrayed countless times in slots. Zeus, Thor, and Anubis are a few of them, but one that is rather unexplored is Artemis, the goddess of the hunt, the wilderness, wild animals, nature, vegetation, childbirth, care of children, and chastity. Quite the resume, eh? Might make one feel a bit inferior, even. But there’s not even any proof that these ancient gods have actually existed, so no need to feel bad. What we can ascertain is that we’ll have to get a long with Artemis in this one, as she can help you create some juicy wins with her powers. Let’s dig in!
Bow of Artemis is a video slot from Pragmatic Play with a setup of 8 reels, 8 rows, and a cluster pays mechanic, which requires 5 or more matching symbols in a cluster to make a winning combination. Players can choose between making a Min.bet of 0.20 and a Max.bet of 240. The game has a default RTP of 96.05%, but there are also versions with 95.02% and 94.05%, so be on the lookout. It has a base game hit frequency of 1 in 4.27 spins and a free spins hit frequency of 1 in 213.46 spins. Lastly, Bow of Artemis is played at high volatility and can net you a max win of 10000x the bet, with a max win frequency of 1 in 9,090,909 spins.Â
Although Bow of Artemis has some serious similarities to Gems Bonanza, some things have been changed, and some added to mix it up. The features of Bow of Artemis are Wild Symbol, Spin Features, The Hunt Bonus, and Feature Buy.Â
Bow of Artemis Slot Information
Bow of Artemis takes place in a magical, enchanted forest. Artemis stands majestically on your right-hand side, ready to aid you against any prey. Pragmatic is a bit uneven when it comes to its presentations, but this is certainly a solid one.
Bow of Artemis can be played on most common mobile devices and desktops. A winning combination is created by landing 5 or more matching symbols in a cluster.Â
The lower-paying symbols include J, Q, K, and A. Five-of-a-kind with one of these pays 0.10x-0.25x the bet. The higher-paying symbols consist of elks, wolves, and bears. A winning combination of 5 with one of these pays 0.30x-1x the bet. The payouts may seem a bit low, but they increase the more symbols you have in a cluster. Wild symbols that substitute for paying symbols can also be awarded from Spin Features.Â

What features are available in the slot Bow of Artemis?
The features of Bow of Artemis are Wild Symbol, Spin Features, The Hunt Bonus, and Feature Buy.Â
Wild Symbol
Wild symbols enable more winning combinations by substituting for other paying symbols. These can be awarded from two of the Spin Features.Â
Spin Features
Six differently colored markings can appear behind symbols. If you make a winning combination over a marking, its feature is triggered.
Brown: Triggers The Chase, clearing all symbols and making new ones drop down.
Teal: Triggers Wild Pack, transforming all instances of one random paying symbol into Wild.Â
Purple: Triggers Big Game Hunter, creating random 2x2 blocks of a paying symbol and putting them on the grid.Â
Red: Triggers Colossal Game, adding a random block of 3x3, 4x4, or 5x5 of a paying symbol on the grid.Â
Blue: Triggers Lucky Wilds, putting 5-15 Wild symbols out on the grid.Â
Green: Triggers Power, putting 10-30 of a random paying symbol to the grid.Â
The Hunt Bonus
The bonus game is triggered by filling the hunt meter, which you can see on the right-hand side. You do so by making winning combinations and getting help from the spin features to do so. Winning tumbles awards points, and you need 105 points to trigger the bonus. If you collect 130, 155, or 185 points, the feature starts with a 2x, 3x, or 5x multiplier, respectively.Â
Once the bonus is triggered, you’ll get one spin on which all spin features are activated. The spin can be re-triggered with an increased multiplier if you manage to fill the meter with enough points during your spin.
Feature Buy
The Hunt Bonus feature can be bought at a cost of 100x the bet.
Bow of Artemis Slot Conclusion
When we first started spinning Bow of Artemis and triggering the various features, we thought that we had a Gems Bonanza re-skin on our hands. But we then realized that there were some minor changes, and despite the blatant similarities, it felt different to play. The biggest change is that a sixth spin feature has been added, and even though you seemingly need a few more symbols in winning combinations to progress in this one compared to in Gems Bonanza, we often got bailed out by that sixth feature.Â
That’s what makes a slot game great, after all. That feeling of getting rewarded, even though you’re playing slots and are not meant to profit long-term. We often get annoyed when people say “that game is so good” or “that game is so bad”, as they’re all programmed to take your money in the end. Thus, we prefer to use the word fun, and we do think that Bow of Artemis is a lot of fun; more fun than Gems Bonanza, in fact. It’s more pleasing to the eye, has that extra spin feature to help you out, and feels more explosive since you can increase the multiplier by up to 5x per level. So, despite being on the verge of an outright re-skin, the small changes are enough to keep us intrigued and excited about the release.
Bow of Artemis from Pragmatic Play is a sequel to Gems Bonanza with minor tweaks to increase the fun level.Â
