When we first opened up Candy Jar Clusters, the theme alone made us believe this could fall into the re-skin category due to its resemblance to many other Pragmatic slots, but our suspicions were quickly debunked. It is, in fact, a brand-new game with three different bonus games. Let’s dig in!

Candy Jar Clusters is a video slot from Pragmatic Play with a setup of 7 reels, 7 rows, and the cluster pay mechanic. Players can choose between a Min.bet of 0.2 and a Max.bet of 240. Like many Pragmatic slots, Candy Jar Clusters takes place in some sort of candyland. It’s not the most innovative theme, but it creates a colorful vibe that we can’t get enough of. 

Candy Jar Clusters can be played on all common mobile devices and desktops. A winning combination is created by landing 6 or more matching symbols in a cluster.

The lower-paying symbols consist of lemons, kiwis, oranges, plums, and watermelons. Six-of-a-kind with these pays 0.2x the bet, but it scales a lot the more symbols included in a win. The higher-paying symbols include sweets in various shapes and forms. A winning combination of 6 with one of these pays 0.25x-0.5x the bet. A crown acts as the Wild symbol, and bonus candies can be collected to trigger Free Spins.

Wild Symbol

Wild symbols enable more winning combinations by substituting for other paying symbols.

Bonus Candies

On the right-hand side, three jars can be spotted. One for yellow candy, one for red candy, and one for green candy. Whenever a yellow, red, or green candy lands, it is collected into its jar, and its bonus can be randomly triggered.

Random Multiplier

Randomly, at any spin, if the spin would result in any win, there is a chance for a random multiplier to appear. The multiplier applies to all wins from that spin and subsequent tumbles resulting from it. Possible multipliers are: 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 10x, 25x, 50x, or 100x.

Random Free Spins

Triggering the Free Spins with a yellow candy activates the Wild Free Spins, the red candy activates the Retrigger Free Spins, and the green candy activates the Jackpot Free Spins. These can also activate simultaneously.

Wild Free Spins

When the Wild modifier is active, at the beginning of the round, a number of 6 to 12 Wild symbols is selected to be guaranteed to hit on the screen in random positions for every free spin. A Golden wild can also hit during the round. Whenever it hits, it adds +1x to a Wild multiplier that applies to all wins of any kind and remains active for the whole bonus. 

Retrigger Free Spins

We have a soft spot for games with several bonus games. It makes you want to stay for longer to see the different features and what they can do. However, Pragmatic has gone the extra mile here, making it possible to trigger all three bonuses simultaneously. This basically results in a super bonus, and it doesn’t seem very rare to activate more than 1 of the 3 bonuses at the same time. 

The features mix very well with each other, with obvious potency when together, but they can also pay quite well on their own. A nice touch would’ve been if you could choose your own combination when buying the bonus, but it’s also quite exciting to not know what’s to come. Despite our love for these colorful games, we also wouldn’t mind a different theme, as it is getting a bit overused.
