To be honest, we were a bit surprised to see another installment of this saga so soon. Cygnus 3 was released not so long ago, changing it up with a bonus wheel and lucrative jackpots. But hey, we love the calm vibes and gorgeous views of Cygnus, so the surprise was of the pleasant kind. 

However, Cygnus 4 feels a lot more like a sequel to Cygnus 2 than the third one. As mentioned, the third one offered a bonus wheel and jackpots while simultaneously lowering the max win vastly from 50000x the bet in Cygnus 2 to 10000x in Cygnus 3. Perhaps, this didn’t sit too well with fans of the series, as most things have been restored in this one. The max win is set to 50000x once again, and there are no wheels or jackpots. A positive note for some, we assume, but we’re a bit worried about the lack of changes. The Level-up feature is new and all, but it doesn’t really change the way the game plays. The Max Win feature, however, does add a new layer of excitement, giving you that “one away” feeling frequently when you just need one more Multiplier to claw your way up the tower and hit the max win. 

Nonetheless, what it lacks in mechanical innovation, it makes up for in visuals and graphics. ELK is remarkable when it comes to that, constantly pushing boundaries for how gorgeous a slot can look, making you interested in trying out the game even if the mechanics don’t entice you. Because of how phenomenal it looks and feels, we won’t slam ELK too much for not innovating more on the features, but we do expect more in the future!
