Into the Beat Slot Overview

Into the Beat is a casino slot from Play’n GO that brings with it a night full of dance music, exciting spins, and big wins. This game was made in collaboration with Spinnin’ Records, a Dutch music label that specializes in EDM music and has produced some of the world’s most famous hits, some of which are featured in the game. Music in casino slots can vary quite a lot in quality, and Play’n GO seems to have taken it up as their mission to create the best music-themed games there are, as seen with their portfolio of some heavy metal-inspired slot releases such as Motley Crue and Kiss Reels of Rock. However, this game takes a completely different direction, instead focusing on chart-topping EDM music which the closest comparison would be Hacksaw Gaming’s Feel the Beat, which even sports a similar name. While the game prides itself on its music and artists, you won’t exactly meet your favorite artist here, as you are instead met by a robot DJ who will entertain you for the night, along with the massive crowd of people who have decided to take over the city for a night of banging music and fun bonuses. So tag along and see what the night has to offer and show off your moves on your hunt for the max win of 4,000X the bet.

Into the Beat is a video slot from Play’n GO with 5 reels, 3 rows, and 20 paylines; however, the reels can grow up to 5 during one of the bonus games. Players can choose between making a Min.bet of 0.1 and a Max.bet of 50. The game sits at a slightly higher-than-average RTP of 96.2% by default, but there are more versions of the game with lower RTPs at 94.2%, 91.2%, 87.2%, and 84.2%. Into the Beat is played with medium volatility and a max win of 4,000X.

Into the Beat features a lineup of your favorite EDM music and a bonus game where you will be hunting down nonstop Cash Prizes. The features in Into the Beat are Wild Symbols, Step Up, and Lock ‘N Spin.

Into the Beat Slot Information

The game is set in the middle of a city that has turned into a guerilla live gig by a robot that was zapped by the power of music and turned into a professional EDM DJ. From the city center, we can see billboards in Japanese that say things like “Feel the Rythm,” making the scene almost look like Shibyua Crossing in Tokyo, one of the world’s busiest streets. You can play the game on most mobiles, desktops, and notepads. Wins are created by landing 3 or more of the same symbols in adjacent reels, starting from the leftmost reel.

The lower-paying symbols are J, Q, K, and A. Landing a win with 5 of the same symbols pays out 4X to 5X the bet. The higher-paying symbols are the singer, the keytarist, a robot with a boombox, and the monkey DJ. Creating a win with 5 of the same symbols will pay out 25X to 50X the bet. You will also be able to find Wilds and various Record Symbols on the reels, but more on that in the next section.

Wild Symbols

Wild Symbols help create more winning combinations by being able to substitute for all symbols except the Special Record Symbols.

Step Up

Above the reels sits a Step Up Counter that spins with your reels, with numbers ranging from 1 to 5. Landing any Special Record Symbols with a Multiplier Value will get upgraded by the total number of times shown on the Step Up Counter before being paid out. The Multiplier Values start at 0.5X and can go up to 35X from upgrades.

Lock ‘N Spin

On every spin, all Record Symbols that land will be shown on the Records Meter at the top of the reels, and landing 6 or more will award you the Lock ‘N Spin bonus game; with the more Records that trigger the feature, the bigger the playing grid. By landing 6, 7, or 8, Records will award you with a playing grid of 5X3, 5X4, or 5X5, respectively. During the Lock ‘N Spin feature, you will be granted 3 Respins where only Record and Cash Pot symbols can land, locking the symbols in place and resetting the Respin Counter to 3 again. The Cash Pot symbols act as the game Jackpot symbols and will award the corresponding Cash Prize, which is shown at the top of the reels.

The Mini Cash Pot Symbol = Starting value of 20X and can be increased up to 90X.

The Minor Cash Pot Symbol = Starting value of 50X and can be increased up to 200X.

The Major Cash Pot Symbol = Starting value of 100X and can be increased up to 350X.

The Grand Cash Pot Symbol = Starting value of 500X and can be increased up to 1,500X.

If the Lock ‘N Spin feature ends with all positions filled up, you will be awarded the maximum steps of 5 on the Step Up Counter, which is applied to all Records in view before being paid out.

Into the Beat Slot Conclusion

Into the Beat is quite a unique game as it is to be Play’n GO’s next step into the music genre for casino slots, and we have talked about this collaboration with Spinnin’ Records in a previous article. As soon as you step into the game, you are instantly met by what you could expect, that being chart-topping EDM music with songs like Tsunami, produced by DVBBS and Borgeous, and Drop That Low, produced by Tujamo. This, combined with smooth animations and beautiful graphics, makes for an amazing slot experience at first glance, but those with a keen eye may have noticed that this feature list isn’t anything new, and we have seen this sort of game before. Sadly, this game is actually a reskin to Stepping Diamonds, a classic fruit slot-themed game that was released in late 2024. While we were very excited with the announcement of this collaboration and the beautiful visual representation of the game, it is a bit disheartening to see the similarities between the two games.

While the original game mostly lacked creative design, Into the Beat is the complete opposite, coming with an extremely fun and cool theme that has been crafted with care. The above-average RTP, medium volatility, and a max win of 4,000x the bet is mostly fine, but it feels like those into the EDM nightlife would love a highly volatile game suited for thrill-seekers, but instead, we are given just above average. At least the features in the game work well together, even though they may seem a bit convoluted at first, and they can lead to some very solid payouts, but those mostly come from the Cash Pot symbols and Step Up upgrades, just like in the original game. While we think that the actual gameplay is just fine and definitely fits better here than in the original, we wish it wasn’t such a clear reskin of a game released only a few months prior. If you are a big fan of EDM music or just looking for a beautiful game that can lead to fun moments and the occasional big win, then you should check out Into the Beat.
