We went into this review stating that we’re not super excited when we see these types of releases. There’s something about the design that makes us instantly less excited. We get that people still love the classic slots, but it won’t ruin the vibe to use a more eventful background to create a more immersive experience. After all, retro fruit slots are all really similar, so it doesn’t take much to stand out from the crowd. 

Gameplay-wise, we’re not being offered a whole lot, either. Technically, the game DOES offer Free Spins, but it’s not a feature with extra potential, but simply a few spins without cost. Now to the positives. Star Staxx is very straightforward, and it will likely cater to many new players. Furthermore, some crazy cash prizes can appear on the prize reel, so there’s definitely some potential. 

We usually enjoy Stakelogic’s games, but we’re not over the moon by this one. A prettier frame and a bonus game could’ve done the trick.
