To be honest, we didn’t expect a whole lot going into this game. Wolf Gold is a classic Hold & Win game, and while we’re aware of how popular those are, they’re most often very similar to each other. With that said, we think Pragmatic did an alright job with this sequel. At its core, it’s the same as its predecessor, where it’s all about landing the Jackpot Money Symbols to trigger substantial wins. But the bonus game does offer a higher fun level here, as extra grids can be unlocked to boost your winnings. 

The base game is quite dull, just like in the original, but at least a bonus buy and an extra bet combined with an already relatively easy bonus to trigger are available now, making the journey to the fun stuff more bearable. And hey, as always, Pragmatic delivers a solid frame with sharp graphics and a nice tune. Wolf Gold Ultimate won’t be the next big thing, but nostalgia chasers could certainly enjoy a few spins.
