Peter & Sons Review
If you’d wake us up in the middle of the night and show us an upcoming Peter & Sons game we’d never seen before, just the reels, not even the whole UI, we would recognize it as Peter & Sons 99/100 times. And no, we’re not trying to brag or say that we have any magical slot knowledge power; it’s just about describing how distinct their slots are. Because to be honest, Peter & Sons are not necessarily famous for groundbreaking features or crazy max wins, although they make innovative games with good potential. What they’re known for is their unique style of graphics and animations. It’s genuinely hard to describe what their “style” is, but the game sort of looks like paintings, making them stand out a lot in the crowd.
Peter & Sons was formed in 2019 by “a team of international enthusiasts and professionals”. Their main operation is out of Yerevan, Armenia, but they are an international team with people from all over.
“With world-class mechanics, our games offer an unparalleled gaming experience. Featuring innovative features, stunning graphics, and top-notch audio, our games are aimed to captivate players, enhance enjoyment, and drive long-term engagement, delivering substantial value for both players and operators. It’s one of those providers who are truly staying true to their core, doing their own thing, and not trying to be like anyone else.
Peter & Sons Slots
As mentioned, Peter & Sons creates games with very distinct graphics, making them very recognizable. However, they haven’t quite broken through and become a top top provider quite yet. We obviously don’t have player numbers and can only interpret things by looking at the reactions and behavior of our community, but it seems like their games are of big interest around release, but fail to have any real longevity. One game seems to deviate from that, though, and that is Barbarossa Doublemax. That’s what we gather from our viewers on Twitch, anyway, as many still request it a year after its release. It uses Yggdrasil’s famous Doublemax mechanic, creating rapidly ramping potential.
Another one of our favorites in their catalog of 30+ games is Book of Books, which, first of all, is a hilarious title considering the abundance of “Book of” games. Furthermore, it is a cool take on a book game, making every missed bonus draw boost the upcoming bonus, which makes you feel less bad about missing.
A route we think that they should explore a bit more to really break through is the one they took with Peter Hunter, as it really brought something new to the table in terms of innovative mechanics. We don’t really know how successful it was, but making it to the top of this industry is almost impossible, so providers need to take risks.
If you want to try out their games, we have demo versions on most slot reviews!
Peter & Sons Conclusion
In many ways, Peter & Sons reminds us of how we used to look at Hacksaw. A provider with unique graphics making games with funny themes and characters. And we remember asking the same question about Hacksaw that we now do Peter & Sons: Will they make it really big?
Well, they definitely could. They have the visuals, they have the audio, and they have the overall quality of production and animations. But as with any provider, they need that one enormous hit. For Hacksaw, we believe that it was Chaos Crew, and today, they are considered one of the biggest providers.
Perhaps Peter & Sons can build a real gem as well, and if they do, we think that their future is really bright because everything is in place for them to be a big factor in this challenging industry.
