Dylan Slaney Will Be Stepping Down as CEO of Light & Wonder

The current CEO of Light & Wonder, Dylan Slaney, will be stepping down from his position in the company. This he announced on Monday, 18th November 2024, sharing a LinkedIn post that stated:

"I've decided to step down as CEO Light & Wonder. A personal decision in its purest form. It's been an incredible journey leading this business over the past 7 years, and I'm immensely proud of what we've accomplished together."

He also thanks Light & Wonder and the team for their trust and support. As well as partners and customers in the post:

"Thank you to Light & Wonder for putting your trust in me as CEO and for the support to invest and grow the iGaming business. To the team at Light & Wonder - iGaming, your dedication, passion and relentless "never settle" drive inspired me every day. I am confident that the best is yet to come for you and the business you have created. Thank you for the belief. Thank you for the memories.
I am deeply grateful to all our partners and customers who have supported me personally and the team at Light & Wonder - iGaming. We don't get to do this without you. Thank you. Proud and humbled to have been given this amazing opportunity. and looking forward to writing the next chapter."

Slaney has been with the company for over seven years and has led the iGaming division since October 2021. Before joining Light & Wonder, he was the EVP of gaming at NYX Gaming Group, which he joined when it became part of Scientific Games in early 2018. Slaney's exceptional leadership continued as he became senior president of gaming at Scientific Games Digital, guiding the exciting transition to Light & Wonder iGaming during theire rebranding in 2022.

A spokesperson for Light & Wonder stated:

"We've been on an incredible journey in our iGaming business over the last seven years, and we want to thank Dylan and the entire iGaming team for building the business into what it is today. We have unwavering faith in our current team's ability to unlock even greater opportunities moving forward."
