Hello, and thank you for participating in this interview for your release of the game Sticky Bandits Unchained. To kick off this interview, we'd like to begin with some quick questions.
1. What’s your name and role at Quickspin?
- Herbert Paradis, Producer
2. Favorite Quickspin slot?
- Golden Glyph
3. Favorite slot from another game provider?
- A lot of great slots to choose from, but Viking Runecraft and Fat Rabbit are slots I like going back to year after year.
4. What is your favorite old-school slot?
- Reno 7’s
5. How would you describe Sticky Bandits Unchained in just three words?
- Dusty, sticky, and explosive
6. What can players expect when playing Sticky Bandits Unchained, and can you highlight any new features that set it apart from its predecessors?
- Players can expect a real shootout. It can be unforgiving at times, but the big wins are not far away, you have a 1/10 chance to hit the 500x Multiplier in Peacemaker Fully Loaded Bonus. The cylinder multiplier creates an extra layer of excitement from its predecessors. We are also happy about bringing something back from the first Sticky Bandits game and that is the Colossal Wild. It was very popular in that game, and players have been asking for it.
7. What do you think are the main factors contributing to the popularity and the success of the Sticky Bandits series among players?
- The Wild West theme lends well to slots, especially volatile slots. The series has evolved over the years, and that is what has kept it fresh. However, some things have stayed the same, which is the essence of the series: there are always sticky wilds and bandits.
8. Looking back at the development journey of Sticky Bandits Unchained, what are some of the most memorable moments or highlights for the team?
- It was a fun production, and I think the team can be proud of what they achieved with great art, effects, game design, and sound. What sticks in my mind, however, is a funny discussion relating to the horse. It was a split crowd in the office if we should have another bandit character or we should keep the trusted horse. Our artist stood firm and said I want my horse. When we showcased the game to an operator, they said, “We love that you added a horse to the game”. Needless to say, the artist won that shootout.
